On Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 5:30 pm, United Campus Ministry (UCM) at MSU Billings will be hosting an evening of fine dining and entertainment celebrating 45 years of ministry.
This year's event will be held at the Mansfield Health Education Center located on the ground level of the Yellowstone Medical Building at 2900 12th Ave. N. 30th, with plenty of free parking in lots south of the building.
This year's program features award winning author and workshop leader Rev. Cullene Bryant speaking on one of her favorite subjects: A Spirituality of Laughter. "Comics have done a great service to humanity throughout history. They've poked fun at incompetent politicians, contributed to social movements and encouraged humility by making us look at ourselves and laugh. A good giggle enriches both body and soul." Her two passions, writing and theology, have carried her many places, as has her career in large city hospital chaplaincy programs.
UCM will also be honoring Rev. Kim Woeste for 10 years of guiding students through opportunities to explore their beliefs, stay connected to their faith, and put their faith into action.
There will again be the popular silent and live auctions in support of UCM projects and programs. Tickets are available for $40, which includes a delicious dinner. Wine will also be available for purchase.
